Deadline

So Knitty's deadline is coming up...January 5th. As usual I'm last minute trying to wrap up my latest pattern for them. I won't say much here but I'm very proud of myself on this one. It's pretty and unique and if they don't like this...well then I don't know what! So if they don't take it I might make it available on here. I like it so much though that I'm debating whether or not I should be selling the pattern. I guess we'll see. I won't know anything until they say yea or nay. In any case I think that the pattern is all finished as far as designing and writing goes. I'm just trying to finish up the samples and get some really good pictures this time. Let's hope they take it!

And here's that picture that I promised of my son in his pics with the sweater that I made him. Isn't he just the cutest? That's his favorite kitty too.

Sherwood Sweater Pics!

Thought I would post a pic of the Sherwood Sweater from Knitty. I finished in time to get my son's second year pictures taken. I'll post one of those when I get them back! It turned out sooooooo good. I think this is my favorite finished object I've ever done. And the graphs weren't that bad. It was very easy to memorize and not to bad. For anyone attempting it, I found that using bamboo dpn's on the sleeves were much better and easier to use than plastic! I hate the plastic ones. Ok so here it is.

Countdown...5...4...3...2...

Ok so I will be a brand new business owner on January 1, 2007. I am soooo excited. It should be great. I've been researching yarn companies to see who I can buy from. I'm going to start small and if it's successful, I'll work my way up to more companies. I just can't wait to get started. It seems like it should be a good way to make money from home, since I am in no position to work normally. Once I get my site up (if things go well) I will have patterns on there as well. All of my free ones and a special few to buy. It's an exciting time and I'm just counting down the days until I can get it all up and running!

In other news, I am finally finishing up my first year in getting my degree. Only 2 more to go. I say only because it should be short, but in reality I feel like that's forever. The kiddies are getting big, Nick just turned two and Alexis is 6 months now. I can't believe how they grow! I've got projects I'm working on for them and it seems like they will outgrow them before I finish!

Ok so I'm working on new patterns but it's tough so just hang in there, and i'll get them done asap.
