One little sock

Wednesday, August 22, 2007

So lately there hasn't been much time for knitting. I have been working one lonely sock for over a week now. Usually I'm much faster, but I have only been knitting a few rows here and there when waiting for a page to load online or something. So today I got a lot of it done. almost half the cuff, the whole heel, and half the foot. Talk about progress! No pics of it though, it looks just like the first one.

The only other thing I've done is knit my little red loopy sock that came with my last order. It's so cute! Only took me like an hour and a half. I'm just not sure what I'm going to do with it...I took nick to get his hair cut the other day. Sunday actually the day after mine. Here's a before and after. His hair was crazy long! The haircut was a nightmare though, he's got a thing about it, and screamed the whole time. I had to hold him down. Ugh, next time, daddy's taking him! That reminds me that I never showed off my haircut. It's shorter than I told her to cut it, and cut different too. It's like what I told her translated differently in her head lol. But it's fine because I totally love it. It's a style I didn't think I could wear and it's more "now" than I usually have it styled. I usually like a lot of volume and whatnot. Anyway, it turned out nice and I'm beyond thrilled to have it cut. Oh and yes those are blonde highlights which I haven't had in years. I usually get red or bronze. So it's a nice summery change for me. Now if only I could find my flat iron to style it right...
Back to the knitting. I found this yarn in my stash while digging and forgot completely that I had it until that moment. I am using it to make socks for my MIL. It's SWTC TOFUtsies and it's super soft with a little sheen. Way cool stuff. I also have another ball of it in a blue/green/yellow color.

Ok so that's about it I guess. I'm planning on making lots more socks, but that's a given. Oh! I'm going to get my spinning wheel tomorrow! I'm so excited! I'll be posting about it tomorrow for sure, barring un-foreseen occurances.

My daughter will NOT let us cut her hair. She does like going to the hairdressers with me though, because she likes the girls there. But I imagine she'd have a reaction much like Nick's. And your hair looks great!
