Yummy Yarn

Today I received a package from Barbara, for the Hand Dyed Yarn Swap. I loooove the colors. Very bright and fun. It's mostly teal and hot pink, with shades of red, fushia, purple, and maybe a little blue. It took me ALL day to get it looking nice like this, in it's little yarn cake. I made such a mess of it when I tried to wind it lol. Anyway all is well now and I'm searching for a good pattern to make with it!I have been working on Catalina again, and it's going really well. Looking over it I saw one mistake towards the beginning, but it's in the corner and it's not noticeable. I'm not about to rip it out now. I'm 2/3 of the way through the first repeat of the chart. Further than the picture shows too, I have the other half of those diamonds done. The pattern calls for 8 repeats but I've got less yardage so I may only do 7. We'll see when I get there. It's really turning out pretty though. I broke down last night and bought some yarn. I feel ultra guilty (esp since hubby doesn't know...) but it's been at least a month. I needed it. And I didn't buy anywhere near as much as I wanted. I bought a skein of Hand Maiden Sea Silk in Melon, two skeins of Louet Gems fingering in Willow, and a skein of Cherry Tree Hill in Java. All from The Loopy Ewe of course. I'm excited to get it, especially the sea silk. The gems is for the twisted flower socks I plan on making and the java, is just prettyful.

I got a call today from Old Navy. I saw an ad last week that they were hiring and so I applied online. I have an interview on Monday. We had a nice chat on the phone when she called, sort of a pre-interview. So it sounds good. It would be a really long drive, but I'd get a discount! The other two jobs I applied for have yet to contact me. Ah well.

I'm getting a cut and highlights on Saturday. Partially because I REALLY need it, and partially because I want to look nice for this interview. I can't wait, it's been a long time and the place I go to is sooo nice. They give you a hand massage while your color develops and a head and neck massage when they wash it. Oh and their pedi's are divine. Seriously relaxing. Best thing I ever do for myself is that. I won't be able to get a pedi this time, but soon.

Ok so now I'm off to bed. I'm only up this late, well there are two reasons. One I was paying the bills...and two our dryer won't shut off anymore so I had to stay up to turn it off. I coulda paid the bills tomorrow. I'm really not tired yet, I think I'll watch big brother first...

First off, Catalina is really coming along beautifully. Next, Sea Silk? Oh! To die for. Can't wait to see what you do with it. Finally, good luck on your interview with Old Navy! I'll be pulling for you!
